The tour is the result of the co-operation between Huetourist Company and the branch of Việt Nam Railways in Huế.

Besides providing transportation, the tourist railway carriage is also an example of co-operation between railways and tourism to meet the demand for rail travel by both domestic and international tourists, offering a new experience in heritage exploration.

An SE1 train will conduct the daily journey from Huế to Đà Nẵng, providing a view of the beautiful Hải Vân mountain pass or Lăng Cô Bay along a beautiful route in central Việt Nam. For VNĐ 155,000 (US$7) per ticket, tourists can have a relaxed journey with their fellow-travellers.

The 26-berth carriage has been designed foolowing the best contemporary standards of Vietnam Railways.

According to Nguyễn Thanh Khánh, director of Vietnam Railways’ branch in Huế, the carriage would be constantly upgraded to provide the best possible facilities to tourists.

The Heritage Path tourist railway carriage will also allow domestic travel agencies to transport tourists more safely with high-quality services to explore world heritage sites in central Việt Nam.

Trần Quang Hào, director of Huetourist Company, said the company would conduct more tours on the Đà Nẵng - Huế and Huế - Quảng Bình route, following the success of the Huế - Đà Nẵng tour.
