THANH TOAN TILE - ROOFED BRIDGE

Thanh Toan Bridge belongs to Thanh Thuy village which is 7km from Hue centre. Just around 15 minutes on motorbike and 30 minutes on cyclo or bicycle to reach the bridge.

At the end of XVI century, a group of people from Thanh Hoa province followed Nguyen Hoang Lord to reclaim and make up villages; as a result they set up Thanh Thuy village. It is the countryside in Central Vietnam and has the typical large rice field non-borderline, the main granary of the Central Vietnam Sunny welcome to Thuy Thanh Village!

Visit Thanh Toan, except for seeing the most ancient bridge in Vietnam, visitor can row boat along canals or ride bicycle on green village road for visiting Temples, family worship houses. Visitor also can join to be a farmer and experience farming life, especially learn how to wrap a Tet sticky rice cakes (Banh Chung & Banh Tet) or make conical hat, etc... Visitor can go to market, play hut gambling and pounding rice singing (on festivals) as well as enjoy special cuisines.

 07h30: With tour guide, you go on bicycle along the canal, the small streets, the small fields to go to the Thanh Toan tile bridge.
 08h30: You visit Thanh Toan Bridge and exhibition house where presents agricultural tools and fishery’s tools, listen the folk-song of the hue’s agriculturist.
 09h00:   To continue visit Ton That Thuyet’s palace. He had a high authority under Tu Duc King Dynasty. This is special work architecture in this area view to Nhu Y River.
10h00: Continue go to the field where you can become an agriculturist. You will have much experience with the local community in activity such conical hat making or “banh tét” making.
12h00: You enjoy the lunch prepared by the local people.
13h30:  Come back Hue city. Finish this program.
