In a region that water is much more than land people don’t use cars or motorcycles much. Instead, they use boats. Interestingly, they also do daily trading on boats. Cai Be Floating Market is typical. It is located on the river that draws borders between three provinces Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre. Every day more than 400 boats filled almost everything gathers here. Take this tour and you’ll see one of the most interesting, exotic events in Indochina.

Day 1: Sai Gon – My Tho – Ben Tre- Can Tho (L,D)

 

An unforgettable way of seeing the Mekong Delta to drive along the provincial roads on the Southern region of Vietnam through paddy rice-fields, pine-apple plantation, orchard and small hamlets. (One and half hour drive)

After arrival My Tho city, the local motor boat will take you go along Dragon island, Unicorn Island, Phoenix Island, Turtle Island.  On the way, you can see the fishing port, Rach Mieu bridge, stilt house, boat building workshop. We will stop at the famous Unicorn Island. At Unicorn Island, you will take a short trek to see the fruits garden. You can also enjoy tropical fruits, natural honey tea and wine at a bee keeping farm and Vietnamese traditional music shows by the locals.

A rowing boat carries you slowly thought the canals which cover a peaceful air and full of water- coconuts trees

After that, you will continue to take the motor boat trip to Ben Tre province. Here horse-car will take you to the village to visit a handle made coconuts candy workshop and see how the local people make rice noodles.

Then transfer to a small motor boat travel along the lush, green canals, and stop at local restaurant for Vietnamese lunch. You can ride the bike around the village or take a rest.

Boat will take you back My Tho, then the car will drive you to Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 2: Can Tho - Cai Rang maket - Sai Gon (B,L)

 

After breakfast, we take a boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries or the lower Mekong delta. Then, the boat will take you to Cai Rang floating market, which is the most original ones and bustling places for the region.

Have you tried the Vietnamese vermicelli noodle? Now, you will go and see how to make it. After that you will trek along the village to get in touch with the locals. Now, you have a chance to experience how to pass a “monkey bridge” which is built by one bamboo tree.

Leaving the village, you will go to visit Can Tho market, have lunch there. 

Then, our car will take you back to Saigon.
