The 2012 Hue Festival concluded on April 15 with impressive cultural performances by artists from Vietnam and countries from five continents around the world.

The large scale festival with the theme of "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development: A Rendezvous of Historical Cities" featured a wide range of events such as art performances, culinary fairs and exhibitions.An Australian visitor named Herman praised the beauty of Hue at night, adding that the local residents were very friendly and hospitable. He said he was very impressed with the art performances at the festival, especially the Lao Cai art troupe.

The drums and percussions concert themed “Resounding the Spirit of Vietnam” is an art production of Le Quy Duong Company. The program congregates the quintessence of music through the performance of drum and percussion instrumentalists, resounding the magnanimity of national traditions from the sonority of bronze drums as early as the time when Hung Kings founded the country, or the war drum sounds in the battles led by Tay Son Brothers, and then to the tenderness of drums in traditional operetta (Cheo) overflowing with love and passion for the homeland.

It will auspiciously take viewers to a miraculous and romantic world, where people can enjoy the savor of poetry and music, of images glistening over the tranquil surface of the Huong River by Truong Tien Bridge.
