Hue was one the imperial capital in Vietnam, making it the home of several  emperors in the 19^th and early 20^th centuries.  So,  Hue still keep many historical sites such as Citadel, Thien Mu pagoda, Huyen Khong pagoda, Khai Dinh tomb, Minh Mang tomb, Tu Duc tomb,… These are historical contruction exits more 100 years. Besides, Bach Ma National Park consider  as “ The centre of flora diversity in Vietnam” , Lang Co beach, Thuan An beach has beautiful sand beach, hotel, resort,… Special, Lang Co bay is recogized “ Lang Co – beautiful Bay in the world” by worldbay. So, Hue is never destination will be miss when tourist visit Vietnam. If you have one day to visit Hue, you should :

Citadel.                    

Citadel is the famous place to visit in Hue. It was built in 1806 under the reign of King Gia Long and completed in 1832 under the reign of King Minh Mang. With an area 500ha, square in shape, is almost 10km in circumference, 6m high, 21m thick and 10 entrances and a system of three circles of ramparts, nearly from outside to inside:  Hue capital citadel, Royal citadel, Forbidden citadel. Uder Nguyen Dynasty, the Kings had ordered order to built ramparts, palaces, contructional works for royal. Over 200 years to now, it is still original with nearly 140 small and large contructions.

Thien Mu pagoda

Thien Mu pagoda is a history pagoda of Hue ( was built in 1601 under the reign of Emperor Nguen Hoang). It located at the end of Kim Long Road, in Huong Long Ward, on the northern bank of the Huong River.  It’s one of beautiful and unique pagoda in Hue. From Phuoc Duyen Tower ( was built in mid-19th century by King Thieu Tri, the tower was to commemorate the 80th birthday anniversary of his grandmother) have 7 floors faces the romantic Huong River, then Dai Hung Palace – the main sanctuary of Thien Mu Pagoda. Here, Buddha is worshipped with impressive sculptures and a giant bell, measuring 2.5m in height and 2 tons in weight, created since early 18th century. Fragrant incense smoke fills the air there all day long, making the praying for blessings calm and peaceful, and many houses, tomb of Don Hau Monk – a famous monk who delicated his life to charitable activities…. Sure, you will see more wonderful things here.

 An Hien garden house.

An Hien garden house located near Thien Mu pagoda, the garden also faces the romantic Perfume River. An Hien is a typical and exemplary architecture of the garden of Hue, blended with nature and is planned to follow the feng shui principles of the traditional architecture of the Orient. The main direction of the house turns toward the Perfume River. The whole campus is nearly 5000m2, always covered by green leaves. Between the screen and the house is a water tank dropping flowers; This is the factor “clarification” in feng shui. The main structure is a 3-room house located almost in the center of the garden.

Khai Dinh tomb and Minh Mang tomb is the best places to visit. The tomb of Nguyen Dynasty were used as a located to work, relax… So, the layout of the tombs is large, unique, suitable for the landscape… they are one of heritage recognized  “ World Culture Heritage” by UNESCO, they contain history, architechture and cultural in Hue. Sure,  you will be discovery and experience many exciting things in there.

In the everning, back to centre Hue city, walk on the Truong Tien Bridge see the romantic Huong River, take a photo or you should rent a boat go around on the river, sure, you feel comfortable, cool… Then, you can walk arournd on Nguyen Dinh Chieu street and shopping. There are many souvenir shop buy local food, silk, crafts, restaurant…
